Pollster speaks at local university

Pat McFerron spoke at Southwestern Oklahoma State University about State Question 836.

McFerron addressed voter apathy for people younger than 30. McFerron said, "Voters younger than 30, most of them are registered independent, among those who even bother to register. I really believe it's because they think their vote won't matter."


McFerron talked about Oklahoma being a one-party state in the last presidential election. "We haven't always been a one-party state but even as a Republican, I think it's wrong to exclude people from meaningful elections."
